Many people find their way into the practice of yoga for a variety of reasons, often initially as a purely physical experience, but over time discover that other benefits begin to surface.
Yoga encompasses all aspects of oneself and on a physical level Yoga brings awareness to body alignment and control. It improves flexibility and strength, reduces tension which can minimise muscle tears and strain.
It can also Improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. Increasing evidence shows that frequent Yoga practice can lower body weight, blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels while elevating mood.
Yoga promotes physical, mental, emotional and life balance. Yoga is a powerful vehicle for change. As you build strength, you start to believe in your own infinite potential.
Yoga doesn’t give you anything that did not already exist inside of you. However, it provides you with a guide to unlock the boundless potential within you and allowing you to live a more fulfilling and joyous life.
We offer a variety of weekly Yoga classes at our residential studio in New Beith QLD. The classes are kept small so you get the attention you deserve. Your teacher Larissa Halls has an abundance of experience, including working in injury rehabilitation with allied health professionals and is registered as an Experienced Yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance International.
We Make Yoga Fun, Easy to Learn and Available to all Body Ages, Shapes and Sizes.
Do you need a little ME TIME to gather your thoughts and settle them down, invest in the health of your body and have more energy and vitality to do the things you love? Our ME TIME new yoga participant trial gives you 2 weeks of unlimited yoga to immerse yourself into yoga and start making the changes to your life that you long for. It will give you an opportunity to trial our different class styles and work out what’s right for you.
We deliver our classes over 4 terms.
You’re welcome to join us at any time at all throughout the term, we’d love to have you. This is our current timetable. You can book online at any time using our online scheduler (see below). The first class is complimentary as we want you to fall in love with our Yoga and gorgeous homely studio.
Term 4: Starts Monday 8th October to 19th December 2018
Your health and wellbeing is our highest priority. In order to participate in any physical activity it is compulsory that you complete a health screen questionnaire. Please down load this health screen questionnaire and bring it along to your first class. If you have no way to print your questionnaire, we will provide you with one before participating in your first class.

Yoga Flow is a Hatha based Flow Vinyasana style of class that links movement (asana) with the breath. It blends balance, strength, flexibility and power. Our style overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly format, which is accessible, understandable and doable by individuals at any level of fitness.
It reduces the risk of injury and augments recovery from ailments including stress, lower back pain and tension.
At the start of each class careful attention is given to bring warmth to the muscles and joints first before moving into a more fluid practice of asanas (poses).
Our teacher gives clear verbal cues and demonstrations throughout the class so that participants can work and progress at their own unique pace.
We like to mix up our classes and there is never a time you will come to the studio and feel like you have done that same class just the week before. As they say, variety is the spice of life. This also allows for the avoidance of adaptation by the body and frees the mind of stagnation and repetitive habitual behavior. We love to make it fun too.

Back Health: Yoga has been scientifically proven to relieve symptoms of back pain. It can help with the reduction of pain and also improve function and mobility.
With back pain being one of the largest reasons for absenteeism in Australia, many people choose Yoga to provide relief from their back pain. There is strong medical proof confirming that practicing Yoga is a great way of relieving back pain. The reason why yoga can assist in pain relief and back health, is that the focus is on correct postural alignment. Yoga can selectively stretch shortened, tight muscles and strengthen weak elongated muscles. This can allow for postural correction, creating support in and around the spine relieving pressure and pain.
Don’t let your back pain hijack your happiness any longer. Our focus for this class is strengthening your core muscles, improving pelvic floor function and general flexibility and mobility. There’s no fancy yoga poses in this class. It’s all about your back health.
The class is gentle and slow – Great for a yoga beginner as well.

Restorative Yoga can help the ill, injured, stressed, depressed, over weight and over worked. Of course you are unique and one of a kind, so the benefits you will feel will be different to the next persons, but here’s a few benefits to get you started.
Restorative Yoga has long been shown to decrease the stress hormone cortisol, which, in elevated levels, is associated with weight gain, high blood pressure and heart disease. Restorative Yoga will help to settle your racing mind allowing you to think clearer and more confidently.
During deep relaxation, all the organ systems of the body are benefited, and a few of the measurable results of deep relaxation are the reduction of blood pressure, serum triglycerides and blood sugar levels in the blood and the increase of the “good cholesterol” levels.
You may experience improvements in digestion and elimination. Restorative Yoga can promote fertility and help with conception not to mention the reduction of muscle tension, insomnia and generalized fatigue.

Yoga Fusion is our Super Saturday class. It goes for an hour and a half on a Saturday morning starting at 8am. It’s like your gift to yourself for a week well done.
We start the class off enjoying our Yoga Flow Style format, which includes a gentle warm up, sun salutations and poses to increase strength, stamina, flexibility and mobility. This gets the heart pumping and the blood circulating.
Then we have a change of pace.
We make our way to the floor and the eye pillows, bolsters and blankets come out so we can move onto our restorative part of the class. The poses create stillness, peace and recovery both in mind and body. We use the blankets and bolsters to support ourselves in the poses so the body can be revitalised.
This class in a beautiful fusion of both worlds flow vs stillness and a great segway from your busy week into a slower paced weekend.
